Here at Mint Condition we run a number of Pilates Classes throughout the week. These classes are designed for all abilities and are run on a term-by-term basis. The class numbers are kept small so maximising the attention of your teacher at all times.

Classes at Mint Condition are run by Ginny Upshall who is the Master Trainer for Mint Condition. Ginny has gained a vast amount of exercise knowledge through 20 plus years of teaching group exercise and personal training. Ginny has training accreditation through the CHEK Institute of California.

Here at Mint Condition our Pilates classes include elements of mat work and standing exercises. As a result of our in-depth understanding of bio-mechanics and human movement patterns we try to strengthen the core structural muscles from an upright position. This method of Pilates seeks to transfer strengths gained on the floor to 'real-life' activity, thus reducing injury risk and suppleness in your day-to-day activities.

In Mint Condition Pilates other pieces of equipment are used, including weighted balls, foam rollers, large exercise ball, rotating disks, and resistance bands. Some of the traditional apparatus has been adapted for use in contemporary pilates. Pilates called his method 'Contrology', because he believed that his method uses the mind to control the muscles. The Pilates method seeks to increase the strength, flexibility and control of the body.
